Every boudoir session tells a story. Some are quiet and reflective, others are loud and full of laughter, but all of them carry a deeper meaning about the woman in front of the camera.
For Paula, her session was a chance to step into a new chapter of self-love and remind herself of the strength and beauty she’s always had within.

Meet Paula: A Life Filled With Love, Laughter & Resilience
When Paula isn’t working in Medical Admin, where she oversees private practices for orthopaedic surgeons, she’s living a life filled with family, friendship and her passions. She describes herself as someone who loves being surrounded by her loved ones and making the most of her downtime.
“I am very family oriented and love spending as much time with my family and friends as I can. I am a massive soccer fan and have supported the Brisbane Roar since the start of the Australian league! I love my country music and going to festivals and concerts, as well as rodeos. In my spare time, I love to find a good book and a cosy spot and read!”
Reading this, it’s easy to picture Paula’s world: the roar of the crowd as she cheers for her team, the buzz of live music at a country festival, and those quieter moments curled up with a book, soaking up peace and stillness. It’s this mix of energy and warmth that she brought into the studio with her, and it made her session an absolute joy.
Why Paula Chose Boudoir
For Paula, booking a boudoir shoot wasn’t about creating something for someone else. It was a decision that came from within - a way to prove something to herself and celebrate who she is right now.
This choice didn’t happen overnight. Paula had watched a friend take the leap into boudoir and loved seeing the incredible results. The confidence, the beauty, the way those images captured her friend’s spirit - it sparked something inside Paula too.
“One of my friends did a session once, and I saw how amazing her photos were and thought to myself that I would love to do something like that!”
That seed of inspiration grew into courage. Booking the session was Paula’s way of saying yes to herself, and that was the first step in her transformational journey.

Overcoming Nerves and Finding Confidence in the Studio
Like so many women stepping into boudoir for the first time, Paula’s biggest hurdle was her nerves. She worried about how she might look on camera, if she’d be confident enough, or if her self-esteem might hold her back.
“I was most nervous about how the photos would look. Was I going to be confident enough or would I look good as I was dealing with low self-esteem and self-confidence?”
These feelings are so common (and so understandable). But as Paula discovered, the beauty of boudoir is that those fears don’t last long. With the right team cheering you on, nerves quickly turn into excitement.
“My experience was amazing. It was so much fun and Dave, Mel and the team made the whole day the best experience.”
The studio was filled with laughter, encouragement and plenty of joy - the kind of atmosphere where confidence blooms naturally. When asked about her favourite part of the day, Paula struggled to choose because she loved it all!
“It’s so hard to pick a favourite part, but I think the overall experience was the best, and the amount of laughter throughout the whole session was so good. I loved the outdoor set as it was so fun but super sexy as well.”
The outdoor set captured her adventurous side - playful, bold and utterly radiant. It was a reminder that confidence doesn’t always have to be serious; sometimes it’s found in the moments where you’re laughing so hard your cheeks hurt.
A Grande Journey of Self-Love
What makes Paula’s story so inspiring is that her boudoir session was just one piece of a bigger journey. Over the past few years, she’s had to navigate challenges that reshaped how she saw herself.
She shared honestly about a serious leg injury that forced her to change careers and made it harder to keep up with the exercise she once loved. That shift led to weight gain, which in turn affected her confidence.
“Over the last five to six years, I had gained weight after a serious leg injury that caused me to change careers, and I wasn’t able to work out like I was doing before it. I lost confidence in how I looked and how I saw myself, and it didn’t help when I had people say that I looked better when I was skinnier.”
Those kinds of comments can cut deeply. But Paula chose not to let them define her forever. Instead, she began rebuilding her confidence step by step.
“Last year I decided it was time to make a change and it started by getting back to eating healthy and doing fun activities that were also good exercises. I also started reading some books about self-confidence and how to make changes and not to listen to other people. I also have a core group of friends that are so supportive and encouraged me to do the photoshoot. I am now at the point where I love who I am and how I look.”
This is the heart of Paula’s story. It’s not just about looking beautiful in front of the camera (which she absolutely did). It’s about reclaiming her self-worth, ignoring the voices that tried to bring her down, and learning to see herself with love and pride again. That’s the kind of transformation that boudoir celebrates.

Words of Encouragement
When we asked Paula what advice she’d give to another woman considering boudoir, her words were full of encouragement and wisdom.
“The best advice I can give someone who is thinking of doing a session is to reach out and talk to the team. Never doubt yourself, and just remember that these photos will always be a reminder of how beautiful and powerful you are as a woman.”
That’s advice we hope every woman takes to heart. Boudoir is more than photos - it’s an experience that leaves you with memories, confidence and proof of your own strength.

Sharing the Love
Perhaps the most touching part of Paula’s story is how her experience has inspired her to share it with the people closest to her. She left her session feeling so uplifted that she didn’t just recommend Angel Eyes to her friends, she gifted her sister her very own boudoir session!
“I would absolutely recommend Angel Eyes. I have nothing but the highest respect for the whole team from the very first call to dealing with the team after the shoot. I have even paid for my sister to have a session done and am so excited for her.”
Those words mean the world to us. There’s no greater compliment than knowing a client loved her experience enough to pass it on to someone she loves!
