We often say that boudoir is about so much more than photos - it’s about connection, healing and rediscovering the parts of yourself you may have lost along the way. And some stories stay with us long after the last photo is taken. Cyndell’s is one of those stories…

Meet Cyndell: Strong, Thoughtful and Passionate About Helping Others
Cyndell is a clinical nurse specialist, a devoted wife of eight years, and a proud mother to two gorgeous children - a boy and a girl! She's someone who leads with her heart and tackles life’s challenges with resilience, determination and grace. A deeply caring and passionate soul, especially when it comes to helping others; someone who takes pride in being a woman people can depend on.
When she’s not working or spending time with her family (or doing a boudoir photoshoot!), you’ll find her working out, reading books or indulging in a rather unique hobby - bookbinding by hand (how cool is that?!). But behind her strength and nurturing spirit, Cyndell - like so many women - has walked a deeply personal road toward self-acceptance.
The Why: A Gift for Her Husband, and Something More for Herself
At first, Cyndell simply wanted to give the gift of boudoir to her husband, something a little special for him! But the real gift turned out to be something far more profound.
He always used to say he wished I could see myself the way he sees me,” she told us. “After having two children, it was hard to feel confident in my body. I thought getting a boudoir photoshoot would help - and it absolutely did!”
That simple desire, to feel beautiful again, was the seed that led her to step in front of our lens. But beneath that was something much deeper: a longing to reconnect with herself after everything life, motherhood and womanhood had handed her.

Before the Session: Fear, Doubt and the Weight of Old Wounds
Like many of our clients, Cyndell arrived at her session carrying nerves. She worried she might not look good. She feared she might feel silly. After all, it takes courage to strip back the layers - literally and emotionally - and show up as you are.
“I was bullied growing up,” she shared. “I was always judged for being slightly bigger, for rebounding too quickly. I never felt comfortable in what I wore. Just before I had children, I had gotten really fit and loved my body. But pregnancy was hard on me. My tummy was looser, I developed varicose veins. I just didn’t feel beautiful anymore.”
It’s a sentiment that resonates with so many women. The external pressure to “bounce back,” to be everything to everyone and in the process, we sometimes forget how to be gentle with ourselves.

Finding Ease and Joy in the Studio
Despite her fears, Cyndell found something unexpected the moment she walked through our studio doors: Peace. Warmth. Joy.
“From the time I entered the studio, I had a smile on my face,” she told us. “The whole thing was just amazing.”
And when asked whether she was nervous having a male photographer present…
“Dave was so professional and he and Mel work so beautifully together. They bounce off one another and create the best vibe - it made the experience completely relaxing and fun.”
That’s what we aim to create, a space where nerves melt into laughter, where posing becomes play and where women see themselves in a new light. Because every woman deserves to feel safe and celebrated.
A New Way of Seeing Herself: Confidence & Self-Love
The transformation wasn’t just about the images, though they were certainly stunning! It was about what those images represented.
“This experience has created a different mindset in me,” Cyndell said. “I feel confident. I feel beautiful within myself.”
And perhaps most powerfully, this change isn’t just for her. Cyndell shared that it’s something she wants to pass down to her daughter - a legacy of self-worth.
“Women are always judged by how they look, what they wear, whether they’re too big or too small. But if we can start getting women to believe in themselves, to feel beautiful and sexy, it will lead to more powerful women in the world. This mindset is something I want to teach my daughter, but I need to believe it myself to be able to teach her.”

Her Advice to You? “Don’t Think Twice!”
If there’s one thing we’ve learned, it’s this: your doubts will always find a reason to hold you back. “I’ll wait until I lose weight.” “I’ll do it next year.” “Maybe once I feel more confident.” But confidence isn’t the starting point - it’s the result.
Just like Cyndell, you don’t have to feel “ready.” You just have to show up.
“Don’t think about it twice. Just do it. There will be no regrets!”
That’s her advice to every woman contemplating a session. Not to be fearless, but to feel the fear and say yes anyway. That one brave choice could change everything.
“I absolutely would recommend Angel Eyes - and I already have!”
