If you're planning your boudoir photoshoot, chances are you’re already feeling the butterflies - nervous, excited, maybe even a little unsure of what to bring or how to make the session truly you.

Here’s the good news: you absolutely don’t need to bring a single thing to walk away with stunning, confidence-filled boudoir photos. Our expertly styled sets (including our classic glam rooms and the newly completed outdoor Country Goddess set) are designed to flatter and empower every woman, just as she is.

But if you're feeling creative, playful or looking to tell a story with your images, you can absolutely spice up your session with personal touches by including items from your hobbies, career or interests.

Let’s explore how to add that special flair (without going overboard) and what to keep in mind when planning a personalised boudoir experience.

Bring in Your Hobbies or Passions

Whether you're a bookworm, a sporty queen or a music lover - why not weave that into your boudoir shoot?

📚 Lover of literature? Bring a favourite book or pair your lingerie with reading glasses for a sultry, studious vibe.

🏎️ Into racing or sports? Add your helmet or a jersey for a power pose moment.

🎸 Musician?  Music instruments, vinyl's, or a (small) microphone can add bold energy and personality to your photos.

🤠 Craving the country? Bring your boots, hat or other country themed items and we’ll include this in our new Country Goddess set in amongst nature!

Boudoir is about expressing you… and your passions are part of that.

Add a Hint of Your Profession

We’ve had women from all walks of life bring elements of their careers into their shoot - think of it as a playful tribute to your boss babe energy.

👩‍🚒 Firefighter jacket or helmet paired with your stunning lingerie.

👩‍⚕️ Doctor or nurse’s coat (maybe even a stethoscope!)

👩‍🍳 Chef’s hat (bonus points for heels and a whisk!!!)

👮‍♀️ Pilot or police uniform for an authoritative, commanding look.

💼 Blazer and glasses for a “power CEO” momente

You don’t need to go full costume - less is more. A single item is often enough to add the vibe without complicating the styling.

And if you’re comfortable with us releasing your images to the public, you’re more than welcome to advise that you would not like your uniformed images to be shown if this may cause conflict - just let us know!

The Power of a Personal Item

Bringing something that has meaning - like a partner’s shirt, a wedding veil or an anniversary keepsake - can be incredibly powerful.

It might be sentimental, cheeky or playful, but it adds an emotional depth that shines through in your photos.

Exploring a Bolder Side: BDSM & Spicy Elements

For those wanting to lean into their sensual or kinkier side, subtle BDSM-inspired touches can bring serious spice!

Think:

⛓️ Handcuffs or restraints

⛓️ Paddles or crops

⛓️ Collars or blindfolds

These pieces can introduce bold energy into your shoot while keeping things tasteful, sexy and empowering.

Please refrain from bringing items that require complicated (timely) or potentially dangerous set-up as we not only want to ensure your safety, but also ensure you make the most of your time in your session.

We do not photograph explicit erotica, so while we’re comfortable with sex toys being brought as props, these will not be actively used.

But Let’s Be Clear: You Don’t Need Props at All

At the end of the day, your session will be just as incredible without a single prop or themed item.

Our expert team knows how to create stunning, empowering images using just you, your natural beauty and the camera.

Our studio features carefully designed locale’s - from glamorous boudoir sets to our new, private outdoor Country Goddess space - which provide more than enough magic without adding extras.

A Few Practical Tips to Keep in Mind

💄 We cannot redo makeup mid-shoot, so full costume changes with wildly different vibes (e.g. pin-up vibes to classic glam) are not ideal. Props work better for bringing in personality without needing a full glam reset.

💬 If you're thinking about including specific items or themes, mention it in your pre-shoot consultation so we can guide you on what will work best.

❌ Our only limitations are props that involve dangerous weapons, animals, or anything that could cause a mess or damage to the studio (e.g. glitter or food-based items).
